MEXICO offers to pay, BUT... - Allen B. West

As President Donald Trump shows no sign of backing down on both his promise to build a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border, and pressuring Mexico to pay for it, Mexico itself shows no sign of caving on the latter. Both Mexico’s current and former president have denied there are any circumstances in which Mexico would be paying for the wall.
Thus far, Trump has promised to impose a 20 percent import tax on Mexican goods to serve one of two potential purposes. The funds garnered from it could be used towards the border wall – but remember that it’s American consumers who pay for the wall in that case in the form of higher prices.
Alternatively, since Americans would buy less goods from Mexico once they’re priced 20 percent higher, Trump could be trying to damage Mexico’s exporting industries to the point where it costs more to their economy than forking over money for a border would.... Western heritage in bull’s-eye, warns author

Political correctness has only intensified in the years since.
And now, Donna Zuckerberg, sister of Facebook founder and anti-Trump activist Mark Zuckerberg, has identified the next battleground of the culture wars – classical studies.
In a contribution at Eidolon, where she is an editor, Zuckerberg instructs her fellow liberals “How to Be a Good Classicist Under a Bad Emperor.”
Under a picture of the Roman Emperor Augustus with a Hitler mustache, Zuckerberg complains the so-called “alt-right” and related movements “love the classics.”
Defiantly, she insists, “We must not allow the alt-right to define what classics will mean in Trump’s America.” Read more here: http://www.wnd.com/2017/01/western-heritage-in-bulls-eye-warns-author/

American Muslims drop BOMBSHELL on Trump executive order - Allen B. West

Barack Obama puts a six-month ban on Iraqi refugees entering the country in 2011, and ends the longstanding wet foot/dry foot process for Cuban refugees, and nobody batted an eye. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s executive order implementing a 90-day travel ban on the seven countries listed in the Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 and indefinite suspension of our program of resettling Syrian refugees has set off waves of protest, primarily taking place at our nation’s airports.
A common chant at the protests is “no ban, no wall!,” which refers to the inaccurate belief that a three month travel restriction on seven countries is a ban on 1.6 billion Muslims, and Trump’s unrelated desired border with Mexico.
The Independent Journal Review decided to reach out to some American Muslims about Trump’s executive order, and asked them if they felt the protests were justified. They were also asked their thoughts on the narrative that Trump is a racist president...... Meltdown at the EPA

In his recently released and timely book, Scare Pollution: Why and How to Fix the EPA, author Steve Milloy says this about the Environmental Protection Agency:
The EPA has over the course of the last 20 years marshaled its vast and virtually unchallenged power into an echo chamber of deceptive science, runaway regulations and fatally flawed research derived from unethical human experiments. The EPA’s conduct runs the gamut from subtle statistical shenanigans to withholding key scientific data, from seeking to rubberstamp baseless research data to illegally spraying diesel exhaust up the noses of unsuspecting children and other vulnerable populations.
Milloy, who runs the website JunkScience.com, has chronicled the scientific and bureaucratic abuse at the EPA for two decades, and he is thrilled by President Trump’s plans to finally reform the EPA. “I can think of no agency that has done more pointless harm to the U.S. economy than the EPA — all based on junk science, if not out-and-out science fraud,” Milloy told me. “I am looking forward to President Trump’s dramatically shrinking the EPA by entirely overhauling how the remaining federal EPA uses science.”

BLM Anti-Trump Protest In Seattle: ‘We Need To Start Killing People’

During an anti-Trump protest in Seattle this weekend, an activist associated with the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement took to the megaphone to voice her support for, among other things, “killing people,” and “killing the White House.”
While she said that, another protester can be heard saying, “Burn it!”
She also says, “White people, give your fucking money, your fucking house, your fucking property, we need it fucking all,” as another protester responds “reparations!”
“Fuck white supremacy, fuck the U.S. empire, fuck your imperialist ass lives. That shit gotta go.”
At 1:50 in the video clip, she goes, “And we need to start killing people. First off, we need to start killing the White House. The White House must die. The White House, your fucking White House, your fucking Presidents, they must go! Fuck the White House.”
“Pay the fuck up, pay the fuck up. It ain’t just your fucking time, its your fucking money, and now your fucking life is devoted to social change,” she said.
While speaking, she was wearing a jacket that said “Black Lives Matter” on the back.
According to the channel that uploaded the clip to YouTube, the activist saying these things is a teacher. http://dailycaller.com/2017/01/30/blm-anti-trump-protest-in-seattle-we-need-to-start-killing-people/

Trump's Supreme Court nomination willcome TOMORROW, not Thursday

President Donald Trump has chosen a replacement for the late Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia, and he will announce a name tomorrow night.
'I have made my decision on who I will nominate for The United States Supreme Court. It will be announced live on Tuesday at 8:00 P.M. (W.H.),' the president wrote on Twitter.
Trump originally said the announcement would come on Thursday. Word of a possible earlier announcement first came as the White House dealt with fallout from Trump's partial travel ban on Middle Eastern refugees.
As a candidate, Trump often used surprise announcements to shift attention away from negative media coverage.
Trump told small business leaders gathered at the White House on Monday morning that he had made 'a very big decision on the United States Supreme Court, that is going to be announced tomorrow night from the White House at 8 o'clock.'
The president called his choice 'a person who is unbelievably highly respected, and I think you will be very impressed with this person.' Read more here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/~/article-4170970/index.html

Trump insists he's not banning Muslims, says he followed OBAMA's lead

President Donald Trump issued his most substantial defense of his 'extreme vetting' executive order on Sunday afternoon, saying in a statement from the White House that he's not banning Muslims from entering the U.S. – and laying much of the grief at former president Barack Obama's feet.
'My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months,' Trump said of his own order, which is slated to expire in 90 days.
Obama's directive, carried out in response to a specific terror threat, affected only refugees. Trump's order is broader, including people from seven countries who want to emigrate to the U.S.
Trump also said Sunday said that those nations – Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia Sudan, Syria and Yemen – 'are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror.'
'To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion – this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order.' Read more here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/~/article-4169090/index.html

Islamic State Supporters React Angrily to Trump’s Temporary Refugee Halt

Islamic State sympathizers and militants predictably reacted angrily to President Donald Trump’s temporary halt on refugees while the government revamps its flawed security screening process.

Breitbart Jerusalem obtained access to correspondence posted in a closed chat group that utilizes the encrypted Telegram messaging service. The chat group serves as an internal Twitter of sorts for IS jihadists and sympathizers, and it has been used in the past to issue IS communications.

“The madman Trump is still ignorant of politics, science and culture,” IS supporter Abu Maslama wrote to his associates on the Telegram app. “That Islam-hating Crusader prevents Muslims from entering America. That failed Nazi thinks that this will stop the mujahedeen from striking his country. Doesn’t he understand that his country will implode? When that happens, he’ll panic and backpedal on his Islam-hating policies.” Read more here: http://www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2017/01/30/exclusive-islamic-state-supporters-react-angrily-trumps-temporary-refugee-halt/

Schumer tears up as he calls Trump's immigration ban 'mean-spirited'

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer held back tears Sunday while denouncing President Trump's executive order on immigration and refugees.
"This executive order was mean-spirited and un-American," the Democratic senator from New York said through tears. "It was implemented in a way that created chaos and confusion across the country."
Schumer called for the executive order to be reversed "immediately" and suggested that a bipartisan group of lawmakers could introduce legislation to overturn the immigration ban.

"If we get a few more Republicans, I think we might be able to pass legislation," he said.
Schumer blasted Trump on Friday after the president signed an executive order that halted the country's refugee resettlement program for 120 days and banned Syrian refugees from the U.S. indefinitely. People from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan and Libya are also prohibited from entering the U.S. for 90 days.
"Tears are running down the cheeks of the Statue of Liberty tonight as a grand tradition of America, welcoming immigrants, that has existed since America was founded, has been stomped upon," Schumer said in a statement.
"Taking in immigrants and refugees is not only humanitarian but has also boosted our economy and created jobs decade after decade," he said. "This is one of the most backward and nasty executive orders that the president has issued." Why Restrict Visa’s From: Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Libya?

1 Yemen – Anwar al-Awlaki was an American and Yemeni imam and Islamic lecturer. U.S. government officials allege that he was a senior recruiter and motivator who was involved in planning terrorist operations for the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda (link) al-Awlaki spoke with and preached to three of the alleged 9/11 hijackers who were al-Qaeda members. Awlaki presided at the funeral of the mother of Nidal Malik Hasan, an Army psychiatrist who later e-mailed him extensively in 2008–09 before the Fort Hood shootings. Awlaki was the mastermind behind Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who attempted the 2009 Christmas Day (underwear) bombing of an American airliner.
2 Somalia – More than 20 people in Minnesota have faced federal charges related to Al Shabaab, an African terror group, with at least 10 more cases related to ISIS. Defendants have usually been detained while awaiting trial, as prosecutors have argued that they remain flight risks and threats to the community. (link)
– On November 18, 2013, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Issa Doreh was sentenced to ten years in prison for “conspiracy to provide material support to terrorist, conspiracy to provide material support to foreign terrorist organization, conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, and providing material support to foreign terrorist organization.” Doreh was admitted to the United States as a refugee from Somalia and subsequently obtained a green card and became a citizen. Doreh worked at a money transmitting business that was at the center of the conspiracy, which also involved Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud.

Answering 20 Questions Liberals Wanted to Ask a Conservative

Since Donald Trump became president, liberals have been…let’s just say... EXTREMELY upset. On the other hand, even as someone who was not a fan of Trump, I have been very happy with his performance. In fact, so far, I don't think anything Trump has done is radical. It's more of a re-balancing towards sanity and common sense.
So, with that disconnect between how conservatives and liberals see things in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to answer questions liberals have for conservatives. So, I asked on Twitter.
John Hawkins @johnhawkinsrwn: “I'm doing a Townhall column where I'll honestly, w/out sarcasm, answer liberal questions to conservatives. Any libs want to ask questions?”
A few people, including Peter DaouDave Weigel and Robert Gibson were kind enough to retweet me and I received an enormous number of questions. Although I tend to doubt that liberals will like most of the answers I give, I will at least be polite in my responses and maybe it will do some good. Enjoy!

A guide to Trump's first 17 executive orders

From reauthorizing the construction of contentious pipeline projects to halting the progression of former President Obama's pending regulations, some of President Trump's executive actions have sparked immediate action in the federal government.
Others, such as his memorandum to the Department of Commerce asking for a review about how to require the use of U.S. steel when building pipelines, merely paved the way for potential future actions.
"The whole point of an executive order is that it can be implemented immediately," said Tommy Binion, director of policy outreach at the Heritage Foundation. "There are broader policies that some of the executive orders indicate are coming, but as far as what's actually contained in the executive orders themselves, we should expect that to be immediate."
While Trump's sweeping policy changes are consistent with his campaign promises, they won't all lead to immediate shifts and they don't all carry the same significance. Read more here: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/a-guide-to-trumps-first-17-executive-orders/article/2613318

Connoisseur of Chaos

When the dust was cleared and the debris swept away, he stood revealed as Hillary Clinton’s most generous billionaire donor. Yet his name rarely surfaced during the presidential campaign—and that’s generally the way he likes it. Dark Money, Jane Mayer’s book about covert political funding, refers to the Koch brothers more than 300 times in its excoriation of the “radical right” but mentions progressive icon George Soros just six times; three are footnotes.
One of the planet’s richest men, his past marred with crimes and misdemeanors, the 86-year-old billionaire skates on. More than a decade ago, he moved his financial headquarters to Curaçao, a tax-free haven in the Caribbean designed for monied hypocrites who talk one game and play another. The place is not bulletproof; on occasion, Soros has been accused—and even convicted—of insider trading. A French court found him guilty of that crime and levied a fine of $2.3 million. In the parlance of the billionaires’ club, that was small change. Investigative journalists, a dwindling cadre, show little interest in him. They prefer to scrutinize safer, softer targets. Trump’s Yuge Week One

What really mattered, and what didn’t.
President Donald Trump’s first seven days in office were historic, chaotic, often astonishing and sometimes unsettling. With a flurry of provocative executive orders, surreal events, unapologetic falsehoods and did-he-really-say-that tweets, Trump continued to obliterate political norms, serving notice that the gaze of history won’t change who he is. He made so much news and did so many unorthodox things that it was hard to keep track of everything that was changing in Washington. The question, though, is what did all that sound and fury signify?
It certainly didn’t signify nothing. Most of Trump’s initial actions won’t have much direct impact on public policy, but many of them suggest huge changes are on the way. Some actions didn’t seem to justify the media hype, like his executive orders reining in Obamacare, blocking a cut in low-income mortgage feeds and freezing all new rule-making, or the typical start-of-term controversies over the alleged muzzling of government bureaucrats. Other developments actually seemed underhyped, like his apparent success in persuading congressional Republicans to support his entire Cabinet and ignore his enormous conflicts of interest, or new immigration restrictions that got overshadowed by Wednesday’s headline about his official push for a border wall. And it’s hard to assess how much hype some of Trump’s pronouncements deserve. Who knows whether he truly meant his threat to “send the Feds!” into Chicago to address street violence, or whether he was just tweeting off steam while watching a Bill O’Reilly segment?

ABC’s Muir Left Speechless After Trump Brings Up March for Life

Wednesday night was a major first for Donald Trump as ABC aired his very first interview as the president of the United States. The interview questions ranged from immigration policy to what carpet he chose for the Oval Office (Ronald Reagan’s), but things got awkward for interviewer David Muir when he tried to stick Trump with questions about the Women’s March on Saturday, “Let me just ask you while we’re standing outside, could you hear the voices from the Women's March here in Washington.”
“No, I couldn't hear them. The crowds were large, but you will have a large crowd on Friday, too, which is mostly pro-life people,” Trump informed Muir before hammering him for the media’s long history of blatantly ignoring the annual March for Life in Washington, DC:
You’re going to have a lot of people coming on Friday. And I will say this, and I didn't realize this. But I was told. You will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know as large or larger. Some people said it will be larger. Pro-life people and they say the press doesn't cover them.

Alicia Colon - The D.C. Women's March and Why I've Never Been a Feminist

I was quite young when the women's movement began in the 1960's but there was something about the fierce rhetoric spouted by the movement leaders that turned me off.
Their speech was peppered with a lot of hate and resentment towards men but more than that, it hypocritically acted offended by phrases like 'Babe' and "broad" while we women routinely called men 'hunks' and in my neighborhood, 'guapo'. Then again the idea that I should burn my bra was beyond ludicrous and I felt that these feminists were light years away from the women who fought for our suffrage with dignity and faith.
Years ago, I received an email from an editor at the liberal Detroit News who expressed interest in my columns and the possibility of my becoming a columnist there. That offer was hotly rescinded by a female editor who read my column for IntellectualCapital.com that expressed amazement at the utter stupidity of some women voters and sarcastically suggested repealing the 19th amendment. Whew. I was told that I was not the type of writer that met their high standards.
Sheesh, these feminists can't take a joke! Read more: http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0117/colon012617.php3

Narrative Fail: Overwhelming Support for President Trump’s “America First” Inaugural Address…

If you listened to the media narrative, the inaugural address by President Trump was filled with doom and gloom. Most MSM pundits labeling the speech “dark“, “foreboding”, “negative” or “divisive“. Some even called it “out of touch” and “dystopian“.
Except, there’s a problem,…

….the vast majority of American’s liked it.

In a predictably non-discussed poll commissioned by Politico and taken by Morning Consult, not only did the majority of Americans support the speech, the even larger majority of those polled supported the message therein:

EPIC: Tulsi Gabbard Calls Adam Kinzinger, John McCain and Evan McMullin Terrorist Enablers…

This is beyond epic. Representative Tulsi Gabbard visited Syria and delivers big and bold truth to CNN upon her return interview.
Gabbard deconstructs the false narrative sold by the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama administration, John McCain, Adam Kinzinger and Evan McMullin -all of whom supported the various terrorist factions within Syria- and sets the record straight:
The “Rebels” in Syria are extremist terrorists.
CNN host Jake Tapper just didn’t know what to do with himself as Gabbard deconstructed his ideological, and brutally wrong, talking points. Tapper left staring at the camera with that doofy expression, puzzled and wrinkled brow: “huh”? Donald Trump creates name-and-shame list to embarrass sanctuary cities

President Trump on Wednesday ordered the Homeland Security Department to begin releasing a name-and-shame list of sanctuary cities, listing the specific crimes such as murder or robbery committed by those who have been released back into their communities under the sanctuary policies.
That was one of a number of less-noticed but potentially far-reaching moves tucked inside two new executive orders erasing decades of previous immigration enforcement policy and replacing it with the Trump plan, which calls for aggressive enforcement of existing laws.
Border Patrol and interior enforcement agents have been unshackled from the limits imposed by former President Barack Obama, as Mr. Trump said he wants to see them doing the jobs they were hired for. Read more:

Democrat says Syrians told her the truth about ‘moderate rebels’ in secret meeting with Assad

Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii made some shocking claims to Jake Tapper on CNN Wednesday in an appearance detailing her secret meeting with Bashar al-Assad, the president of war-torn Syria.
“My reason for going to visit Syria was really because of the suffering of the Syrian people that has been weighing heavily on my heart,” she explained.
When Tapper asked about whether she had reservations about meeting with Assad and thereby legitimizing his controversial presidency, she seemed to carefully affirm his tenuous claim to power.
“Obviously Assad is responsible for thousands of deaths and millions of people being displaced during this five year long civil war,” Tapper began. “Did you have any compunctions about meeting with someone like that giving him any sort of enhanced credibility because a member of the United States Congress would meet with someone like that?”
“Whatever you think about President Assad,” she answered, adding, “the fact is that he is the president of Syria. In order for any peace agreement, in order for any possibility of a viable piece agreement to occur, there has to be a conversation with him. The Syrian people will determine his outcome and what happens with their government, and their future.” http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/01/25/democrat-says-syrians-told-her-the-truth-about-moderate-rebels-in-secret-meeting-with-assad/

Christianity Is So Hated In Somalia That If You Say You Are A Christian The Muslims Will Behead You On The Spot

All Muslim nations are dangerous to be a Christian in, but none like Somalia. The violence against Christians there is so bad that according to a recent report, merely being accused of associating at all with Christianity will get you beheaded on the spot by the Muslims:
North Korea has long been recognized as a country where Christians face the worst persecution for their faith. But there’s a lesser known country that follows closely behind where those who are even suspected of having converted to Christianity are rushed through public beheadings without a trial — Somalia.
“Converts to Christianity in the country have been facing massive problems and their killing is very common. Unlike in North Korea, on their discovery they would not last a day in a trial or ever get the chance to be sentenced to a labor camp,” Dembele told CP.

“Instead, the mere suspicion leads to a rushed public beheading. Christians cannot raise their children according to their faith and would face severe problems if they attempted to celebrate Christian holidays. In a nutshell, to survive in the country Christians must pretend not to be Christians.”
Dembele reflected on the account of a Somali convert to Christianity who fled the country, but stressed that details can not be shared due to security concerns.
“When his conversion became known, he faced hostility from his own family (except from his mother who protected him). Fearing for his life, he fled the country. But life is very challenging in his new home too,” the law analyst explained.
“He feels he cannot attend worship at a normal church, since non-Somali Christians tend to automatically think he might have come to attack Christians. So this brother in Christ finds himself asking the very fundamental question: Where do I belong in this world? Blog: The Real Significance of the ‘Executive Order on Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States’

The Executive Order titled “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States," establishes the Trump administration as truly formidable. If you haven't heard or read about it, you soon will. The Order requires, among other things, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to publish a weekly list of crimes committed by undocumented aliens.
There is an old adage: you should never pick a fight with anyone that buys his ink by the barrel. The corollary is that the U.S. government "speaks" with an authority that threatens even the independent media, and it's billions of barrels of ink. It is for this reason that scholars developed the doctrine of "government speech," which acknowledges the risks posed by a government engaged in propaganda. That is why, for example, that U.S. propaganda efforts like Voice of America are prohibited by law (the Smith–Mundt Act) from broadcasting in the U.S. Simply, when the government "speaks," it does so in a loud, authoritative, and potentially exclusive voice. Presumed source of Trump’s election-fraud data says he might publish names of illegal voters online

The supposed source for President Donald Trump’s claim that 3 million to 5 million illegal votes were cast in the 2016 election has announced that he may release the names of those voters.
“If I had my druthers, and they said, ‘Gregg, you can release your list or you can give it to [the Department of Justice],’ I’d instantly agree to give it over to DOJ. They could bump it up against the Homeland Security file,” Gregg Phillips told the Daily Beast on Tuesday. “There’s a group of us who don’t think we should release the names at all.”
Phillips said that, as of now, releasing the names is what he intends to do.
Phillips, a former Texas Health and Human Services Commission deputy commissioner, gained attention in November when he tweeted that he had proof that 3 million votes were cast illegally. President Donald Trump has since used Phillips’ claim as evidence for his allegations of a skewed popular vote count.
Now Phillips, on the heels of Trump once again touting voter fraud and calling for an investigation, says he may make the names of those illegal voters public by publishing them online. But there’s a hitch — according to the Daily Beast, no one has seen the data but Phillips himself. Read more here:

Trump Says Millions Voted Illegally. Is He Right?

The latest controversy involving President Donald Trump is his latest statement that millions of people voted illegally and it cost him the popular vote. The media is enraged, running "fact-checks" claiming that it's another example of Trump's "alternative facts." Who is right?
Per usual, the answer seems to be somewhere in the middle: Trump is correct that there were likely millions of illegal votes but not to the point where it lost him the popular vote.
The Daily Wire's James Barrett has reported that Trump claimed the number of illegals that voted were in the "3-5 million" range, which would have been enough to overcome the two to three million vote deficit in which he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton. The media, of course, has claimed that there is no such evidence of illegals voting.
However, the Daily Wire's John Nolte noted that in 2014, the Washington Post reported on a Harvard study that provided evidence of illegals voting: http://www.dailywire.com/news/12774/trump-says-millions-voted-illegally-he-right-aaron-bandler

Catherine Engelbrecht: “Voter Fraud is Institutionalized” Here’s How…

For those who don’t know Catherine Engelbrecht, she has been the tip of the spear on voting integrity since 2008. Catherine, along with thousands of other people, was a direct target of the weaponized IRS following the assembly of various Tea Party groups in 2009/2010. Mrs Engelbrecht has delivered passionate testimony to congress.
In addition, Engelbrecht was also illegally singled out for specific investigation by House Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings for her “true the vote” efforts. Few people know the depth of voter fraud, and the various issues within intentional vote manipulation, with as much insight. After almost a decade of intense work at state and local levels; Englebrecht is a subject matter expert on voting issues:

President Trump Gets His Wall — Thanks To Democrats

By now, you likely know that President Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday to build a wall between Mexico and the U.S. What you perhaps didn't know is that Democrats can't stop him. Why? They've already approved it.
Whether you like the idea or not, building a wall to slow the flood of illegal immigration into the U.S. from Mexico and Central America was one of the signature pledges that President Trump made while on the campaign trail.
"I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I'll build them very inexpensively," Trump said when he announced his campaign for the presidency in 2015.
"And I will make Mexico pay for that wall," he added. "Mark my words."
On Wednesday, in partial fulfillment of that pledge, Trump ordered the wall to be built and also cut federal funding for so-called sanctuary cities.
The idea of a border wall still rankles Democrats, as it did during last year's presidential campaign. But if Donkey Party lawmakers really want to know who's to blame for Trump's wall, they need only look in the mirror..... http://www.investors.com/politics/commentary/president-trump-gets-his-wall-thanks-to-democrats/

A woman flew through a tornado in a bathtub and survived

A powerful tornado churns near Tipton, Okla., on Nov. 7, 2011. (Dick McGowan)
(This story has been updated.)
Violent thunderstorms tore across the South over the weekend, killing 19 people. But in an incredible stroke of good fortune, a bathtub probably saved the life of a woman sheltering from a twister that carved a 13-mile path in east Texas, near the border with Louisiana.
The National Weather Service forecast office in Shreveport, La., filed a storm report Monday night that is a simply jaw-dropping. It describes an 800-yard-wide tornado packing winds of 130 mph that tore off the roof of a storage building on Saturday and tossed a party barge 200 yards into a grove of trees. Peter Thiel, Trump Adviser, Has a Backup Country: New Zealand

Peter Thiel, a Silicon Valley billionaire, was revealed to have become in 2011 a citizen of New Zealand, a country he has long admired. Andrew White for The New York Times
SAN FRANCISCO — Peter Thiel is a billionaire, the biggest Donald J. Trump supporter in Trump-hating Silicon Valley and, above all, someone who prides himself on doing the opposite of what everyone else is doing.
So it makes perfect sense that right after President Trump proclaimed that “the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America,” Mr. Thiel was revealed to have become in 2011 a citizen of a small country on the other side of the world: New Zealand.
In these uncertain times, it may be smart to have a backup country. But the news that one of the richest citizens of New Zealand was a naturalized American who was born in Germany set off an immediate furor in the island nation, with questions being raised about whether being a billionaire gets you special treatment.

Trump expected to order temporary ban on refugees

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign executive orders starting on Wednesday that include a temporary ban on most refugees and a suspension of visas for citizens of Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries, say congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter.
Trump, who tweeted that a "big day" was planned on national security on Wednesday, is expected to ban for several months the entry of refugees into the United States, except for religious minorities escaping persecution, until more aggressive vetting is in place.
Another order will block visas being issued to anyone from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.
In his tweet late on Tuesday, Trump said: "Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow. Among many other things, we will build the wall!"
The border security measures probably include directing the construction of a border wall with Mexico and other actions to cut the number of illegal immigrants living in the United States. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/exclusive-trump-expected-sign-executive-orders-immigration-001530555.html
